Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Torture Survivors National Workshop for Medical Personnel

 

This will be a two day workshop which we will be organizing at the Rehabilitation Unit Community Hall, Base Hospital, Kalmunai on 27th and 28th of March 2010. 

 

Titles to be covered are:

 

  • Legal aspect of the torture survivors
  • Mental health aspect of the torture survivor
  • Rehabilitation of the torture survivor
  • Psychosocial aspect of the torture survivor
  • Stress Management both perpetrator and survivor
  • Judicial aspect of the torture victim

 

The training and handouts given will be in English.

 

This training has been conducted in the past in the North, East and North Central provinces by this organization as a part of a joint venture between NGOs in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.  We now wish to conduct this programme in the East.

 

All expenses for travelling and meals will be borne by this organization.
